A diploma from Youth Connection Leadership Academy High School requires students to complete the following:
- 4.0 Language Arts
- 3.0 Math
- 3.0 Science
- 3.0 Social Science (must include 1.0 US History and the Constitution Test, Civics and Consumer Education )
- 1.0 Fine Arts, Foreign Language or career/vocational education
- 1.0 Health/PE
- 1.0 Computer
- 1.0 Career
- 1.0 Electives
- Total = 18
- Must PASS ALL CLASSES to maintain your graduation status AND we do not graduate students on a quarterly basis
- Complete 18 credits divided in the above areas
- Pass the United States Constitution Test
- 40 hours in Community Service
- Minimum 10th grade reading level and month to month gains in reading measured by the STAR assessment
- SAT Test
- Must have a transition plan
- Must complete FAFSA
- Must pass Senior Portfolio
- Have a minimum of 1 semester (90 days) residency requirement
- For January graduates, students must have all graduation requirements complete (with the exception of their final 4 classes) by the end of 1st quarter. For June graduates, students must have all graduation requirements complete (with the exception of their final 4 classes) by the end of 3rd quarter.
- Must demonstrate achievement of all cross-curricular and content-area graduation standards to earn credit.
