Graduation Requirements

A diploma from Youth Connection Leadership Academy High School requires students to complete 18 total credits and fulfill all state and institutional milestones.

Required Credits (18.0 Total)

  • 4.0 Language Arts
  • 3.0 Math
  • 3.0 Science
  • 3.0 Social Science Must include 1.0 U.S. History, Civics, Consumer Education, and the Constitution Test
  • 1.0 Fine Arts, Foreign Language, or Career/Vocational Education
  • 1.0 Health / PE
  • 1.0 Computer
  • 1.0 Career
  • 1.0 Electives

Testing, Milestones & Residency

Pass the United States Constitution Test
Complete 40 Hours of Community Service
Take the SAT Test
Establish a Formal Transition Plan & Complete FAFSA
Successfully Pass the Senior Portfolio
Minimum 10th Grade Reading Level (With month-to-month gains measured by STAR Assessment)
Minimum 1 Semester (90 Days) Residency Requirement

Important Graduation Academic Policies

  • Class Standing: Students must PASS ALL CLASSES to maintain graduation status. Cross-curricular and content-area graduation standards must be met to earn credit.
  • No Quarterly Graduations: Diplomas and graduations are not processed or granted on a quarterly basis.
  • January Graduates Timeline: All graduation requirements (with the exception of the final 4 classes) must be completed by the end of the 1st quarter.
  • June Graduates Timeline: All graduation requirements (with the exception of the final 4 classes) must be completed by the end of the 3rd quarter.
